Volunteer!
Volunteers are the heart of our organization.
Through the caring and compassionate spirit of our volunteers, Share provides assistance to more than 10,000 people in Clark County each year. Annually, 2,600+ dedicated volunteers donate 26,650+ hours of time to supporting Share's mission. We could not do all of what we do without our Volunteer Team — this team is a part of who we are and what we do.
Share was founded in 1979 by a group of volunteers whose compassion inspired them to take action to create this organization and help those in need in Clark County. Over the years, Share's programs have expanded to meet the needs of a growing community. As our services have increased, so has our need for assistance from volunteers like you!
Share believes every person counts. Together we pursue a stronger community by building relationships, advocating for equitable access to housing and food stability while empowering every individual to grow and thrive.

Volunteers assist at Share in a variety of ways: preparing and serving meals at the hot meals program at Share House, filling backpacks of food for distribution throughout the school year, organizing the warehouse, data entry, helping with our holiday cheer program, volunteering at our fundraising events, preparing meals for our family shelter guests, hosting children's activities, putting together Easter baskets and backpacks with school supplies, and much, much more.
